(DSI), a HEICO company, is a small, specialized, and internationally known company, which designs and manufactures cable assemblies, connectors, insulation systems, and accessories for high voltage applications in the medical, industrial, and military sectors. Currently in its 52nd year of operation, DSI has a reputation for deep expertise in designing high voltage connectivity systems that meet the demanding needs of their customers. DSI is looking to add a High Voltage Engineer to its production team in Chelmsford, MA.
Responsibilities
The High Voltage Engineer will provide design leadership for high voltage cable assemblies up to 1 MV for medical x-ray, military radar, pulsed power systems, accelerators, and high energy physics programs. This position will include engineering, project management, business development, and production support. The High Voltage Engineer will determine design requirements, conduct electric field analysis, perform developmental tests, and provide solutions to complex high voltage insulation problems.
Requirements
The candidate shall have a MS in engineering, preferably electrical or mechanical, with a BS in a closely related technical field. Superior knowledge of dielectric materials (solid, liquid, gaseous, and vacuum) and their processing techniques is required. Familiarity with HV cable manufacture and strong mechanical design skills are required.
Desired Skills and Experience
The optimal candidate will act as the primary technical customer interface for new and existing customers. The ability for some travel is preferred (<10%). The candidate will possess superior presentation skills, both verbal and written.
